Preferred seating option for Yatahay network

Is there not preferred seating option for the Yatahay network? I can't finda anything under the site configuration tab.

My understanding is that Yatahay does not have preferred seating in the client, hence we do not have options for it in PT3.

Ok. Easy question here. Since there is no preferred seating option in yatahay, once I sit at a game, I usually move by using the SEAT ME HEAR feature. Problem is, PT3's HUD doesn't recognize that I moved, so the stats are on the wrong players. Even when I use RESET on the HUD , it doesn't change.

Any help?

The "sit me here" option is not supported because when you do that all that happens is that the table is rotated - the seat number is not updated in the hand history file so PT3 has no way of knowing where you are being shown.

So having a feature within HUD setup telling the HUD that I'm always in say, SEAT 3, would not be a fix?

If Yatahay adds a true Preferred Seating option we will support it, but we do not support "Sit Me Here" for any sites.

I'm a little bit confused by this.

The official PT4 config guide for Yatahay reads:

A preferred seating option does not exist on the Winning Poker Network, in its place Winning has incorporated a "Sit Here" feature at each table. PokerTracker 4 cannot support "Sit Here" functionality because the player must be located in the same seat in all tables to allow the HUD to function correctly when an alternate seat is used.

Which makes me wonder where the problem is. All the PT4 HUD does for any seating config is offset the HUD.

An obvious solution is if a person chose to implement seating config in PT4, just provide a "if you activate this feature you must manually 'sit me here' at each table" warning.

The configuration guide continues:

Due to this issue PokerTracker 4 users who play on the Winning Poker Network should remain in their assigned seats at each table to assure the HUD functions correctly.

This is almost a non-starter for people who multi-table. The official solution is that each time a table requires our attention we need to scan the table to figure out where we are? That wastes a tremendous amount of time not to mention unnecessary mental fatigue and eye strain over time. Otherwise I've got to manually place each player HUD every time I sit? That's also a fairly significant time sink.

These aren't solutions, that's PT4 saying "deal with it."

Heck, even the capacity and precedent to display warning text at individual options already exists, this wouldn't require any new code. The complexity of a solution is no more difficult than editing a single line in a config file, the same file which contains the "No PartyGaming skins appear to be installed" warning.

What is preventing PT from doing this?

I assure you, there is no simple switch we can flip to enable this kind of change. We do not support manual rotation at any of the sites we support, and if we did support it at any of them, we would need to support it at all of them. That is not something we are prepared to do at this time. Those sites that give us true preferred seating (or auto center) we will support. Should Yatahay become one of those sites, we will support the functionality there at that time.
