Pokertracker 3 locks on PT3 logo when loading

Installed PT3 new system - Windows 7 X64

I installed postgres 8.3 before hand.

PT3 connects and makes the new default dbase PT3 DB.

Then it just FREEZES on the Pokertracker 3 logo thereafter.

Uninstalled PT3, uninstalled Postgres.

Got message PT3 cannot uninstall at the end, although most of it is gone.

Deleted Pokertracker directories.

Install Postgres 9.2
Install PT3

Connects to dbase etc then hangs on the Pokertracker logo. Task manager shows it's using CPU.

Firstly, if you're just starting out with PokerTracker you should go directly to PT4 - it is much more advanced and easy to use than PT3.
PT3 is still supported, but no new functionality or features will be added now.

PostgreSQL 9.2 is not yet supported as it is very new and has known problems. The same applies to 9.1, so the version we currently recommend if you want to do a manual installation is 9.0.

When uninstalling it is important to fully uninstall in order to be able to re-install - please follow the appropriate guide in our Documentation.

If you still have problems after reinstalling 9.0 please report your problem so that we can check your logs and see what is going on (or if you update to PT4, see this Tutorial: Reporting a problem).

I downloaded the PT4 trial to see if it would work with my current Postgres 9.2 setup - it did load but gave me a warning. I'm installing Postgres 9.02-1 x64 version.

I wish to stick with PT3 for the time being because it works. I see issues with LAGing popups and stats on the PT4 forum, I'd like to continue to use PT3 for the timebeing.

PT3 should have all of the same problems that PT4 has with PostgreSQL 9.2 - the only reason there is a warning in PT4 that is not in PT3 is that the detection and warning system has been improved in PT4 and we are able to give these warnings on unsupported PostgreSQL versions there.

We do not support 9.1 or 9.2 at this time due to known corruption bugs.
