Any way to move a database without backing it up?

Postby DMoogle » Sat Aug 30, 2008 1:57 am

I just bought a new computer and stupidly didn't back the databases up for an easy restore before I took my hard drives out of my old computer and put them into my new computer as secondary hard drives.

It would be a real pain to take them out again and hook my old computer back up just to do this. Is there any way I move my databases to my primary hard drive without having to do this?

There was a thread on the 2+2 forum about someone who had uninstalled postgres without backing up their DBs first and they were able to help him recover them, so I guess it's possible in your case too, but I can't find the post now, sorry..
I'm sure one of the postgres experts on here will be ableto help you.
