Current Players in a game/table i.e. 'Canyon Magic'

Postby zedjr » Sun Feb 15, 2009 7:01 am

Using the poker3 Postgre database how can i determined the # of players and the player name(s) for a particular game or table? For example in game/table 'Canyon Magic' How can I also determined if a player left a game/table. In what particular database table where i can find these informations?

Do you mean you want to do this live at a table? In the HUD?
This isn't possible in the current framework.

Once a hand has completed and been imported the information about it is in the database and you can therefore tell how many active players there were, etc.
The Database Schema documents the database fields.<br>

There is no table recording active players at a table.
Each hand is imported and the stats for each active player are recorded in the holdem_hand_player_statistics, holdem_hand_player_detail, etc.
There is a holdem_hand_summary table with a cnt_players field, but there is no list of players in the hand. You would have to cross reference holdem_hand_player_statistics.id_hand.

there has to be a table in the db. the actual tables. ther eare like 128 of htem or something. there are many more under other tables, sub tables i guess u would call them. IS the same table u would need to access to update players at table. the players coming and going at a particular table. Maybe not a list of the active players but like in external gametime in pt2 it updated players as people came and gone and so does the hud. THE hud might read teh actual hand history to do this but maybe it is something to do with session info players play or something.

The HUD is tied to the auto import - it sees what players are at the table from the hand histories, and then retrieves each player's statistics. There is no table which holds a list of the players at a particular table.
If you use Start -> Programs -> Postgres -> PGAdmin III you can open your database and see what all the tables are.

Ok in pt2 in external gametime. After there was an import all the external gametime for pt2 would update based on a table in the db i think. right. U telling me pt3 doesnt do this at all. IT was session info i think maybe for the actual player u selected as alias or something in pt2 db.

No, there is no gametime-equivalent window in PT3. This has been requested before and the development team are aware of the request, but I'm not sure if/when it will be added.
