Recover lost DB

Postby alstro » Tue Feb 17, 2009 11:12 pm

So.....

I messed up my computer, kept getting the Blue Screen of Death, and pissed around with it all weekend. Short story is I reinstall PostgresSQL. Now, Holdem manager had to create a new data base, and i can't get any of my old hands. Also, PT Holdem, Stud and Omaha can't find the old data bases either. I think they are still on my system, i just don't know how to import them into the new installation.

Any hellp would be greatly appreciated.

When you reinstalled PostgreSQL, did you install a different version?

You can't restore the database files of an 8.2 database just by attaching the data directory to an 8.3 install. You will need to reinstall 8.2 and then backup the database as described in the Database/Postgres FAQ and then it will restore properly into 8.3.
