Very Big DB

[JMagnat]

Hi,

I imported e.g. 10 mio hands to my postgresql. The database size is now 100 GB .
Is this possible? Could I minimize this db?

Yea... this size is including housekeeping.

Our databases are large because they contain an awful lot of information. There isn't really any way to compress it.

thanx for your fast reply... but this is a pitty... I use SSDs for this db. :|

Quite a while ago, when I spent a lot more of my time with online poker, I wrote a post about saving space.
