"Unable to connect to this database"

"Unable to connect to this database. Please check the configuration." That's the message I get when I enter a password and press connect on the Configure PostgreSql Server box after downloading PT3 with PostgesSQL. I have had problems before with SQL on PT2, so I stopped using SQL. Unfortunately, that's no longer an option.
Before downloading I deleted previous remnants of SQL as outlined in another thread by clicking "start, run, c\:programs" and right clicking, then delete.

Were there any errors messages during the PostgreSQL installation? If so, what were they?

If not, hit CTRL-ALT-DELETE to open your task manager. Under the 'Processes' tab are there any processes named 'postgres.exe'?

There were no error messages downloading and no postgres.exe under processes.

Go Start->Programs->PostgreSQL->Start Service

See if that resolves the issue. If it does not, now look for the 'postgres.exe' process in your Task Manager. If there are no 'postgres.exe' processes then please send me your last three PostgreSQL log files via the Support system so that I can look into the issue.

Your PostgreSQL log file are located in your main PostgreSQL directory/<version>/data/pg_log.
