The error in your screenshot is being caused by some extra items that were added to your database by a third-party stat pack. They are not part of the default PokerTracker 4 database structure and we do not support that. These items are linked to one of the tables that the PokerTracker update needs to change. Because they're attached to that table, your database won't let the update change it - so the update stops and shows the error you're seeing. Did you backup your database before the update when prompted? If you have backed up your existing data you can try the following:
1. Close PokerTracker 4 and open pgAdmin. This is a tool that you would have used when installing the additional items in the database. Open the Windows Start menu, search for pgAdmin, and open it.
2. Connect to your PostgreSQL server. In the left-hand panel, click the arrow next to Servers, then PostgreSQL to expand it. It may ask for a password and this is the PostgreSQL password that was set when PostgreSQL was first installed - 'dbpass' is the default.
3. Select your database. Click the arrow next to Databases to expand the list, then click once on your PT4 database to select it.
4. Open the Query Tool. With your database selected, click Tools at the top, then Query Tool. This opens a box where you can enter a command.
5. Remove the additional items. Copy and paste the line below into that box, then click the Execute/Run button (the ▶ arrow), or press F5:
- Code: Select all
DROP SCHEMA IF EXISTS pph CASCADE;
This only removes the extra third-party items. If you have more than one modified database, you'll need to repeat steps 3-5 for each one, because these items are added to each database separately.
6. Restart PokerTracker 4 and try the database update again. If that does not work please provide the details.
7. After the database has updated you will need to modify the database again with the instructions that were provided to you originally by the stat creator before using PokerTracker 4 again.
