Multiple connection attempts failed. All failures were:
- host: 'localhost', port: '5432', hostaddr: '::1': connection failed: connection to server at "::1", port 5432 failed: FATAL: password authentication failed for user "postgres"

This means that the wrong password is being used to connect to PostgreSQL. If 'dbpass' (no quotes) is not the correct password and you don't recall the correct password you can override the password requirement - see this guide.

I have tried dbpass or postgrespass but still not working. Actually I am pretty sure the password that I typed is dbpass. About overriding the password system, I put those code into terminal but didnot see any response like my attachment. Seems tough to settle the problem.

That looks like you didn't use the correct command. You should be using this:

Code: Select all
sudo nano /Library/PostgreSQL/16/data/pg_hba.conf

If you used this:

Code: Select all
sudo nano /Library/PostgreSQL/16/data/pg_hba.conf.

with an additional period at the end that will not work.
